CrowdSourceCarrie is an independent digital media platform dedicated to making Long Beach, Los Angeles County, and California politics more accessible through thoughtful, fact-based, community-focused conversations.
My mission is to help people who may feel overwhelmed or disconnected from politics become more informed, engaged, and empowered to participate in their communities. I believe everyone deserves access to clear, reliable information, regardless of their level of political knowledge or experience.
I create videos that simplify complex topics into content that is easy to understand, engaging to watch, and rooted in credible facts. Whether I'm covering local news, explaining public policy, interviewing elected officials, or highlighting people making a positive impact, my goal is to make information accessible to everyone. I believe news can be factual, fun, and inspiring, helping people better understand the issues that affect their daily lives while encouraging thoughtful conversations and civic engagement.
While politics and public policy are at the heart of CrowdSourceCarrie, not every video is serious. I also cover California's cultural moments, trending conversations, community events, and the occasional lighthearted take that reminds us it's okay to laugh along the way. From viral moments and local traditions to uniquely California experiences, I believe storytelling should both inform and entertain. My goal is to create content that is factual, approachable, fun, and inspiring because staying informed shouldn't feel overwhelming.
Since launching CrowdSourceCarrie, my content has reached millions of viewers across multiple platforms. While my audience extends beyond California, my strongest engagement comes from Southern California residents who are interested in local government, public policy, and civic engagement.
As part of this work, I interview current officeholders and candidates seeking election to local, state, and federal office. I have had the privilege of interviewing Long Beach City Council candidates, Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson, Congressman Robert Garcia, and Xavier Becerra during his campaign for Governor of California. My goal is to give voters the opportunity to hear directly from the people who want to represent them through respectful, substantive conversations that prioritize understanding over sound bites.
Above all, CrowdSourceCarrie is committed to providing accurate, balanced, and accessible reporting that empowers people to stay informed, ask questions, think critically, and become active participants in their communities.
Whether you're a lifelong political junkie, someone just beginning to follow current events, or simply looking to better understand what's happening in your own backyard, CrowdSourceCarrie is a place where curiosity is encouraged, every question is welcome, and learning is made engaging, approachable, and even a little fun.
